ABOUT JAN

Jan has always expressed her creative spirit through her songwriting and music. She started going down to Nashville in 2002 to cowrite with other songwriters and artists, and attending workshops and other industry events. Her songs started getting attention and won 1st place in the country category for the USA Songwriting Competition. That recognition provided an invitation to play a showcase at the renowned Bluebird Café, and at other Nashville iconic venues. Years later, her song “I Will,” was recorded and released by Texas superstar Darrin Morris. The single went #1 on the Texas charts where it remained for 3 weeks. Jan has since released her own music, her first album of original songs in 2014. She released several singles, and two Christmas albums of her original music. Jan’s latest project is a double album called, “Light & Dark,” released summer 2023. She has had some placements in the sync world for film, TV or advertising. One of Jan’s passions is hosting songwriting workshops. She also is an artist of another medium, painting. When she is not writing songs, you will find her at her studio in the Naples Art District, in Naples, Florida, called, “Musebox Arts,” where she paints, shows her work and hosts parties.
