Singer/songwriter Jan Edwards cut her teeth on folk, lost her innocence to rock, flirted with jazz, and came of age with country. Her songwriting today reflects different country styles with influences from her roots. Having lived in Nashville for a period of time, she still has ties in Music City while living back in her hometown, Minneapolis, MN.
Jan’s latest project is an album called, “Right Here,” that spans her broad life experiences in an eclectic but approachable hybrid country style. She recorded her debut record, a 22 song double volume CD, at a Music Row studio in Nashville.
Her new project is a private performance space at her home in Minneapolis called, “Moonacy Music Room.” She will host live house concerts, workshops, and private parties with the ability to do live recording and video streaming performances.
She is a member of Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI) and Minnesota Association of Songwriters (MAS).
